Twelve months ago, 10-year-old Baaman walked onto our pitch carrying a worn football and a quiet dream. Today, he walks with belief.
Day One
"I was terrified," Baaman admits. "Everyone looked so confident."
Within minutes, Coaches were beside him—not testing his skills, but asking why he loved the game.
"That's when I knew this place was different."
The Shift
Five sessions a week. Over 40 matches. But what really happened was simpler: Baaman fell in love with football all over again.
"The training never felt forced," he explains. "There was always laughter. The coaches made hard work feel like play."
The Difference
"I love the coaches here. They're the most passionate I've ever played for. They bring out the best in me while making it enjoyable. It's not just football—they care about who I am as a person."
His mother saw the transformation first. "He stopped saying 'Coach told me I was wrong.' He started saying 'Coach showed me a better way.' That confidence touched everything—school, friendships, life."
On the pitch, teammates began looking to him. Not because he was loud, but because he played with purpose.
"I watch old videos sometimes," he laughs. "That kid was chasing the ball everywhere. Now I let the game come to me."
The Real Growth
Through forty-plus matches, Baaman learned more than tactics. He learned how to stay calm under pressure, how to trust himself, how to grow through mistakes.
"I used to think I needed to be perfect," he reflects. "The coaches taught me that growth happens in the uncomfortable moments. That's where you find out who you really are."
As he enters year two, Baaman isn't chasing rankings. He's chasing something deeper: becoming the kind of player—and person—that makes him proud of himself.
